PUBLIC HEALTH ALERT: FDA has determined that certain ground cinnamon products contain elevated levels of lead and that prolonged exposure to these products may be unsafe and is advising consumers to stop using and dispose of these products. Please refer to the FDA alert notice for a complete list of affected products.
Allergy Alert: KALO Foods, LLC recalls Single Slice Carrot Cake (Distributed from 2/28/24 to 2/29/24; UPC 8 53407 00418 4) due to undeclared soy.

Food Safety Recall: Aji Mori Sauce Corp. DBA Sushi Koo recalls CHILLIMAMI SAUCE (250 ml; Expiration date October 1/2024) because product was manufactured and distributed without the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Cannery Program oversight, making it susceptible to contamination with Clostridium botulinum.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA issues Warning Letter to Agila Corporation dba Woody’s Pet Food Deli, after a August 29 through September 12, 2023 inspection of the company’s production facility revealed significant violations of the Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Food for Animals requirements, including the finding of Salmonella Reading and Listeria monocytogenes in an “in process” sample of Woody’s Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey with Supplements pet food for dogs and cats.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA issues Warning Letter to Barsotti Juice Company, Inc., after a November 20, November 21 and December 1, 2023 inspection of the company’s juice processing facility found significant violations of the juice Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) regulation, Title 21, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 120 (21 CFR part 120), and the Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation
