Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA (Final Update): FDA and CDC report that the final tally of illnesses in a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak linked to prepared pasta meals containing pasta from Nate’s Fine Foods, Inc. are as follows: 28 confirmed cases in 19 states, 27 hospitalizations, and 7 deaths. The outbreak investigation is now closed.

Allergy Alert: Juniper Granola, LLC recalls CHOCOLATE CHERRY and PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP Junebars (Batch labels L1300, L1300A, L1300B, or L1301A) due to undeclared milk and soy.

Food Safety Recall: Slade Gorton & Co., Inc. recalls Wellsley Farms Farm-Raised Atlantic Salmon (2-lb bags; Lot #3896; UPC 888670025963; Sold at BJ’s Wholesale Club from January 31 through February 7, 2026) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: CS Beef Packers, LLC recalls approximately 22,912 pounds of raw ground beef products due to possible E. coli O145 contamination.

Food Safety Alert: FDA advises restaurants and retailers not to serve or sell and consumers not to eat certain oysters from British Columbia, Canada, Harvest Area BC 17-20 CLF #1401656 due to possible Norovirus contamination.

Outbreak/Illness Investigations

United Kingdom (Update): The UK Health Security Agency has confirmed 13 new cases of E. coli O145 illnesses in an outbreak that has now affected 288 individuals, sending approximately one-half of the victims to hospital. Cases have been reported in England (191), Scotland (62), Wales (31) and Northern Ireland (4). The outbreak has been linked to a type of lettuce used in sandwich products.

Food Safety Recall: Al-Safa US LLC recalls Al Safa Halal Charcoal Grilled Chicken Seekh Kebab Grilled, Minced, Chicken Patty Kebab (12.1 oz; Batch 0605404; Date code NOV 30 25) and Al Safa Halal Fully Cooked Chicken Chapli Kebab Seasoned Chicken Patty (14.11 oz; Batch 0605416; Date code NOV 30 25) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Outbreak/Illness Investigations

UK (Update): The UK Health Security Agency reports two deaths and seven cases of haemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) in the ongoing outbreak of E. coli O145 illnesses across the country. As of June 25, authorities have confirmed a total of 275 outbreak cases in the UK, including in England (182), Scotland (58), Wales (31) and Northern Ireland (4). Five of the victims suffering from HUS were reported in England, and 2 in Scotland.

USA (Update): FDA and CDC have received reports of 39 illnesses, including 23 hospitalizations, associated with consumption of Diamond Shruumz infused cones, chocolate bars, and gummies. Muscimol, a chemical found in Amanita mushrooms, has been detected in some samples of the products. A recall has been initiated (see below).

Allergy Alert: FGF Brands Inc recalls ALDI – Bakeshop Chocolate Chip Muffin (4-count; Lot NF1 142Y; UPC 4099100048278) due to undeclared walnuts.

Food Safety Recall: Solata Foods LLC recalls Solata, Gaia Organic, Full Circle Organic, Farmer Direct, Uncle Vinny’s, Bogopa brands of Fresh Spinach and Salad Mixes due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall: Sunco and Frenchie LLC recalls Terrafina Brand Macadamia in the Raw (6-oz plastic containers; Lot RMA241201; Best by 05/2025; UPC 847938003570) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Prophet Premium Blends recalls Diamond Shruumz Infused Cones, Chocolate Bars, and Gummies (Micro- and Mega/Extreme-Dose) due to possible contamination with Muscimol, a chemical found in mushrooms of the genus Amanita. Consumption of these products has been associated with 39 illnesses to date.
