CANADA (Update): The Public Health Agency of Canada has closed its investigation of a Salmonella outbreak that caused 37 confirmed illnesses in Alberta (15), British Columbia (18), Northwest Territories (1), and Ontario (3). The outbreak was linked to contact with Puppy Love and Puppy World brand dog treats or with dogs who ate these treats. Eight people were hospitalized.

CANADA (Update): The Public Health Agency of Canada reports 31 lab-confirmed outbreak cases of Salmonella Oranienburg likely linked to contact with various dog treats. A single common supplier of dog food or treats has not been identified as the source of the outbreak. Cases have been reported in Alberta (14), British Columbia (14), Ontario (2), and Northwest Territories (1).
