Please be advised that the Yoshonoya in Santa Clara, CA located at 1790 El Camino Real Santa Clara, CA is providing a non USDA quality grade of Beef and sevral persons have become ill after purchasing and consuming their Beef Bowl.
Yoshonoya has done nothing nor have they made any attempt to remedy this dangeroussituation, instead they are arguemenatitive and have no concern for their patrons and in so doing are posing a public health danger to restaurant patrons. This is NOT and isolated incident and they should be held responsible.

Sherri, the way to get action on a restaurant issue is to notify the county health department where the restaurant is located (in this case, Santa Clara County). The county is responsible for inspecting restaurants and for following up on any restaurant-related illness complaints.

It seems to me that recalls that state “may be contaminated” or “due to possible contamination” should be published with an expression of possible risk associated with the recall to provide better information. It is very likely that such a risk assesment was done before the recall was announced.

Bill, in my experience, the “may be contaminated” statement relates either to a sample of the recalled production lo5 having been recalled, or (in the case of a multiple product or multiple production lot recall), the pathogen having been found in the production environment or in a sample of ingredient used in more than one production lot. I doubt very much that a formal risk assessment was done prior to the recall.
