Outbreak/Illness Investigations
USA (Idaho): The Idaho Department of Health is investigating two outbreaks likely associated with consumption of raw (unpasteurized) milk. At least 60 people have fallen ill after drinking raw milk, and at least 45 of them have been confirmed positive for Campylobacter. Two different milking operations appear to be involved, one in the northern part of the state and one in the south.
USA: FDA is investigating an outbreak of eight Listeria monocytogenes illnesses and an outbrek of seven Cyclospora illnesses linked to not yet identified products.
United States
Allergy Alert Update: FDA advises consumers and retailers not to eat, serve, or sell certain Imperial-brand cookies and candies made by Imperial Nougat Co. due to undeclared milk, wheat, and pistachios.
Food Safety Recall: Total Nutrition Inc. expands its earlier recall of TNVitamins and Doctor’s Pride Ultra Potent Complete Green Superfood Moringa Capsules to include an additional Lot code. The recall was initiated due to possible Salmonella contamination.
Canada
Allergy Alert: Falafel St. Jacques (Lachine, QC) recalls BABAGANOUSH (400g; All lots) due to undeclared mustard.
Allergy Alert: Domaine de l’Ange-Gardien (L’Ange-Gardien, QC) recalls two products due to undeclared wheat, sesame, and soy.
Food Safety Recall: Supermarché Madina (Montréal, QC) recalls VIANDES HACHÉES / Ground meats (All formats; All product sold from 31 May through 1 June 2026) because they were prepared, packaged, and stored in a manner that could make them unsafe to consume.
Ireland and United Kingdom
Allergy Alert (Ireland): Manufacturer recalls Gran Grans Foods Homemade Pistachio Spread (226g; Multiple batch codes and Best before dates; Product of Ireland) due to incorrectly declared pistachios.
