Outbreak/Illness Investigations

INDIA: India reports a waterborne diarrhea outbreak in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh that has caused 75-90 hospitalizations and two deaths. Two patients remain in critical condition. Preliminary investigations indicate that recent road expansion work may have damaged municipal pipelines, allowing drainage water to enter the drinking water supply.
