Food Safety Recall: Natureen International Inc. recalls Wei-Chuan Dried Black Fungus Slice (2.5oz / bag; Lot #XJ17; Expiry date 20260417) due to Salmonella contamination.
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Voehlganic Farm LLC that an August 28 and 30, 2024 inspection of the company’s shell egg farm revealed serious violations of the Prevention of Salmonella Enteritidis in Shell Eggs During Production, Storage, and Transportation regulation (the Shell Egg regulation).
FDA Warning Letter: FDA warns Lystn LLC dba Answers Pet Food that a July 18 through October 4, 2024 inspection of the company’s raw pet food manufacturing facility found evidence of significant violations of FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Food for Animals requirements. Evidence included Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes in finished product samples and the presence of L. monocytogenes on seven surfaces in the facility, including food-contact surfaces.
