Outbreak/Illness Investigations

UK (Summary Report): UK Health Security Agency reports a total of 174 confirmed cases of Listeria monocytogenes infections in England and Wales during the calendar year 2024. In 2024, UKHSA investigated 7 listeriosis outbreaks across England and Wales, linked to various food products including smoked fish, chocolate and strawberry mousse, garlic sausage and pre-packed sandwiches.

United States

Allergy Alert: New Grains Gluten Free Bakery recalls a variety of products, including breads, bagels, cookies, and croutons due to undeclared eggs, soy, and milk.

Food Safety Recall: Advantage Health Matters recalls Organic Jumbo Pumpkin Seeds (8 oz; Lot L250320200; Expiration date 05/02/2027) due to possible Salmonella contamination.

Baby Food Safety Recall: Publix Super Markets, Inc. recalls GreenWise Pear, Kiwi, Spinach & Pea Baby Food, produced by Bowman Andros LLC due to potential contamination with elevated levels of lead.
