SWEDEN: The Swedish Public Health Agency and The Swedish Food Agency have reopened and investigation into cases of Salmonella Typhimurium (sequence type 36). The outbreak includes 81 confirmed cases of several related variants of ST 36, reported from 18 regions of the country. The source of the outbreak, which began in August, has not been established.

United States

Allergy Alert: Babcock Dairy recalls Orange Custard Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream (1/2 gal; Production date 09 1724) due to undeclared egg.
