Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA: FDA had initiated traceback in an investigation of a new outbreak of 18 cases of E. coli O157:H7 linked to a not-yet-identified product.

United States

Food Safety Recall: National Pasta Corp. recalls M&M Food Market brand Buffalo Chicken Dip (450g; Codes 1624, 1634, 1644, 1654, 1684, 1694, 1764, 1774, 1784, 1834, 1844, 1854, 1924, 1994, 2034; Lots 3649, 3656, 3662, 3666, 3681, 3685, 3690, 3695, 3707, 3713, 3718, 3725, 3764, 3771, 3778; UPC 6 61815 02258 0) due to foreign matter contamination (pieces of metal).

Food Safety Recall: Exo-Fruits (Montréal, QC) recalls Szafran brand VEGAN SOUPE AU POULET / Vegan chicken soup and Szafran brand VEGAN SOUPE LÉGUMES / Vegan vegetable soup (1 L; All product sold up to 15 November 2024) due to potential for growth of Clostridium botulinum.
