Outbreak/Illness Investigations

USA (Update): FDA and CDC are now aware of 74 illnesses in 28 states linked to consumption of Diamond Shruumz-Brand Chocolate Bars, Cones, & Gummies. Sixty-two (62) of the 74 victims sought medical treatment, and 38 were hospitalized. A second death has been reported.

USA (Update): FDA is investigating 31 confirmed cases of Salmonella Irumu in an outbreak that has not yet been linked to a specific food source. The total number of confirmed cases has increased from 29, reported one week ago.

Food Safety Recall: Kenny’s Farmhouse Cheese recalls St. Jerome cheese (8-oz wedges & 15-lb wheels; Batch #231129) due to Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall (Update): Wiers Farm Inc. recalls multiple vegetables and bagged salads due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of recalled products.

Food Safety Recall: Cassis et Mélisse (Saint-Damien-de-Buckland, QC) recalls Fromage Tire-Lune cheese (Lot D11) due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Aliment Stabile (Laval, QC) recalls CACCIATORE SALAMI DOUCE / mild salami (Lot 232341) due to possible Staphylococcus aureus contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Rambrich Farms Inc. recalls Rambrich Farms brand Mint (All bunches sold to retailers and distributors on July 9 and 10, 2024) due to generic E. coli contamination.

Food Safety Recall: Les Aliments SLC inc. (Montréal, QC) recalls Wonton poulet et crevettes / Chicken and shrimp wontons (360g; Lot NO24179EXP27JUNE2025) due to Salmonella contamination.

United Kingdom and Ireland

Food Safety Recall (UK): The Isle of Wight Meat Company recalls several Isle of Wight Meat Co Biltong because the products have been produced without the relevant approval, making them unsafe to eat. Please refer to the recall notice for a complete list of affected products.

Food Safety Recall (UK): Leo’s Import Export & Trading Ltd recalls Buram Cerezli Nuts in Syrup (420g; All date codes) due to potential foreign matter contamination (foreign bodies) and the risk of hydrogen cyanide release from apricot kernels
