OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION: CDC reports nine cases of Salmonella Typhimurium in Wisconsin and Illinois, likely linked to consumption of prepackaged salads from BrightFarms greenhouse farm in Rochelle, IL. One person has been hospitalized. Please see recall notice below.

OUTBREAK INVESTIGATIONS: FDA has initiated three new foodborne disease outbreak investigations involving Cyclospora (32 cases), E. coli O121 (15 cases) and Salmonella Typhimurium (8 cases). No details have been released, and CDC has not yet posted any information on its website.

Food Safety Recall: 5000 Years Foods, Inc. recalls multiple 5000 Years Foods brand Kimchi products after FDA finds Listeria monocytogenes in the production facility.
